A Bonus Post...Skywatch Friday

A new thing I am trying. Skywatch Friday
This was taken just moments ago in my own back yard.

My Little Helper

Mark loves to help out. I get him to clean up his toys by telling him he can help me vacuum. Do you think that is child abuse? Please don't call CPS on me. I won't do any more. I will just let him watch television all day. Maybe I will get him some video games too. Kidding, of course. I think this a good way to teach him responsibility and he thinks it is fun. I have to admit we do have to work on his form some. He will vacuum the same piece of rug forever.

We have been having a little trouble gettting Anna to eat lately. She will eat from one parent or the other. It is up to us to figure out which one it is at any given meal. We switch out often. While we were in the process of swiching, Mark sat down. She ate it right up. His aim wasn't too bad either. He only missed her mouth once or twice. He actually did better feeding her than he does feeding himself.

I figure, pretty soon, I won't even have to get out of bed. Mark will handle it all. Is he too young to learn to make dinner? I guess I will wait a year on that.

A Few Pictures

I did get one cute one of Anna in her new hat. I love this outfit

It looks big from down here.

But climb that mountain girl.

It may seem to you that you don't get as many pictures of Mark. It isn't that I don't take them. They just usually come out looking like this

I did get this one when he wasn't paying attention. This was a birthday gift from Grandma Shirley. We just love it.

This was one of Anna's birthday gifts this year. Mark had to show her how it's done. It took Anna about five minutes, under her brother instruction, to figure out how to make it go. It was fun to watch them scoot around the floor together.

The Doctor

We took Mark and Anna for their well child check ups yesterday. All is very well.
Mark weighs 39.5 pounds. Though, if you ask him, he will tell tell you he weighs 300. His new thing is he wants to be weighed after his bath every night. One night he just started saying he weighs 300 lbs. He carries it well. The doctor says he is meeting all of his milestones. He was very impressed that Mark knows all of his letters and numbers.
Anna is also very healthy. And she has a great of lungs on her. She did not like the doctor's office one bit. From the time the nurse put the stethoscope on her to when they were done she cried. It was a dainty little girl cry either. She about broke all of our eardrums. She weighs in at a whopping 20.5 lbs. No wonder my arms feel like they are going to fall off half the time. She is right where she should developmentally too. She says Mama, Dada, tickle, dog, and make all kinds of animal noises. She also had a bunch of shots. The poor thing. It really wasn't a good day for her.
In other news, yesterday was Jason's and my anniversary. Doesn't that sound like a fun way to spend your anniversary? I asked him last night if he would hang around for another eight. He said he would be 41 by then and what is there to live for after that. So I guess I am stuck with him forever. That isn't too bad. I kinda like him I guess. Happy Anniversary hun. I love you.

I will post some pictures a little later today. I don't have them put together yet.
