New Years Day is a pretty low key holiday here in Diaperville. Like most holidays, it centers around food. We have homemade Reubens for dinner. These Reubens feature lots of sauerkraut and my own thousand island dressing. Everyone knows that eating cabbage on New Years Day will bring loads of good luck in the new year. Yes, that is the only reason we eat Reubens; the good luck. We don't even really like them. Kidding, they are the best. And I look forward to them all year. I guess I could make them a little more often but then they wouldn't be as special on the first day of the year.
So will you do on the first day in 2009? Do you have any special tradition to commemorate this special day?
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
